On Surface Installation
Sub-Surface Installation
Center Feed With a center feed grid configuration, Techline "run lengths" can be doubled because water flows into two "end feed" layouts. Note how the water flows freely from both ends of a broken line, keeping the laterals free of debris, as well as maintaining operation down stream of the break. Example shows laterals raised, as if PVC headers were laid in trenches.
End Feed
With an end feed configuration, water flows from the supply header toward the exhaust header. Example shows laterals flush with the ground, using PVC supply and exhaust headers. Depending on zone flow, poly, Techline, or Techline Blank Tubing may be used in lieu of PVC. With Techline CV, a flush valve, as pictured here, is not required. TLSOV or TLFIG8 would be substituted.
Contour Layout
Techline provides a flexible solution for irrigating around contoured areas and confined planters or shrub areas.
Lateral Layout
Place laterals 2" - 4" from hardscapes and outside of uncontained landscapes. Place laterals perpendicular to slopes.
