Helpful Information

The following come standard with a CS100:

  • Two brass connectors with set screws providing a tight, secure connection
  • Two pre-greased plastic lug caps,
  • Pre-greased for easy and clean application. Provides protection from nature's elements for your connection points
  • PVC tube for protection from ground erosionABS cap labeled "Low Voltage Lighting Connection"
The CS100 is an easily concealable hub connecting 5 low voltage lights to a single "hone run" wire running back to the transformer.  An example of this would be 5 - 35 watt low voltage fixtures with a "home run" wire back to the transformer would come close to maximizing (175 watts) a 300 watt transformer.  This is because you should only reach 80% (or 240 watts) of the wattage capacity of the transformer due to voltage loss and wire resistance.  The main reason for a hub is for light/voltage consistency and ease of troubleshooting system/fixture problems.  If all of your fixtures are around your house then a 12/2 wire size will be adequate for your system.  Any long runs away from your house and 10/2 wire should be considered for that fixture(s).
